New Project: Evaporator-Crystallizer

At the end of 2025, ROBAMA has launched one of its most ambitious projects in recent years. A new module has been added to the existing chemical treatment station based on the “Fenton” process, which now includes an Evaporator and a Crystallizer.

The mechanical vapour compression evaporator uses vapour compression to transfer latent heat, achieving high energy efficiency. The result is a brine concentrated to 85% - 89% and clean water that is reused in production. The brine is sent to the Crystallizer, which uses scraped film evaporation to prevent scaling and obtain dry crystals with high efficiency. These crystals are ground in a mill and reused in the production process, eliminating waste generation. At the same time, the clean water from the Crystallizer is also reused.

With this new technology, we substantially reduce the treated water sent to the Pineda WWTP, we reduce the extraction of groundwater from well and can reuse a waste product as a raw material for production.

ROBAMA demonstrates its commitment to continuous improvement and the transition towards a circular, green, and sustainable economy.
